CAPS Volunteers for Charity

CAPS Members and friends volunteered their time Sunday 12/6/2009 to Feed the Children, an annual Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina event to reach out to local families in need.

The Food Bank has standing opportunities on Thursday nights from 6pm til 9pm, and Saturday mornings from 9am til 12pm where they need your help!  Volunteer at their Spratt Street location.

The calculations are done, CAPS donated a total of 120 Volunteer hours to help Second Harvest this past Sunday and Monday!  That translates into $1,200.00 dollars and at $1 dollar = 6 pounds of food, that translates into 7,200 pounds of food – - enough to feed a family of four 4,800 meals. WOW! I wanted to say a very big THANK YOU to everyone who  came out and helped us. Below are some of the photos of the dunk hunger project and finished canstruction!
