Electronic Voice Phenomena
EVP’s (Electronic Voice Phenomena) are electronically captured sounds that resemble speech, but are not the result of intentional voice recordings. If you would like more information on EVPs, go to Haunted Voices or the American Association of Electronic Voice Phenomena (AAEVP).
Courthouse bell - This was taken at the old Cabarrus County Courthouse in Concord, NC. The bell was removed roughly 50+ years ago, according to a staff member that was present when the recording was made, in 2002.
Weird hotel noise – This was taken in a hotel in Burlington, NC called America’s Best Value. I have pictures associated with this of two orbs in our room. My husband and I were both sleeping, no one else was in the room, and the recorder was set to voice activated.
Shut Up - This was taken at Bethesda Presbyterian Church on the way to Brattonsville in McConnells, SC. We were walking through the cemetery talking among ourselves, and got someone telling us to shut up!
Lawson Family Gravesite – This was captured at the Lawson Family grave site taken when we did the ghost grrl hunt July 5th, 2008. It is me (Susan) talking to the father who murdered his family on Christmas Day in 1929. There were no males present during this time, yet it is a male’s voice heard on the recording, and in direct response to the question I had asked.
